Frederic Traylor completed his Ph.D. in Sociology at Rutgers University–New Brunswick and will be joining Boston University’s Institute for Global Sustainability this summer as a Postdoctoral Associate. His research focuses on how climate change solutions become seen as acceptable, both among organizations and the general public. At the individual level, he studies how solution acceptance is shaped by social institutions, including government, religion, science, and the family. He also studies improvements in survey methodology, including sampling and mode effects. At the organizational level, he studies how organizations choose to take on climate change as an issue and the organizational logics that lead to engaging with various climate solutions.
