Manisha Rattu (she/her) sees herself as a weaver, visionary, builder, and storyteller, according to the Social Change Ecosystem by Deepa Iyer. She is currently an Independent Consultant working for Kapwa Consulting & Upright Consulting Services. She works with the NRDC American Cities Climate Challenge Equity Co-Directors to center equity in climate policies at the city level. Manisha also co-leads a youth grassroots organization in her hometown called Pittsburg Youth Action which has been advocating for just development, the removal of police from schools, young voter engagement, and more. Additionally, Manisha is working on a children’s book that centers the narratives of BIPOC in outdoor spaces, particularly with a focus on Yosemite.
Manisha has a BS ‘19 and MS ‘20 in Earth Systems from Stanford. She is a proud 2016 UCSC DDCSP alum.
