Marcelin Joseph, born and raised in Bridgeport, Connecticut, is currently attending Southern Connecticut State University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and is pursuing a Master in Public Health. He works as an Outreach Specialist for The Greater Bridgeport Area Prevention Program (GBAPP). In his role, Marcelin provides HIV/AIDS education to local Bridgeport congregations to address the increasing rates of HIV/AIDS and substance use. He also administers HIV and Hepatitis C tests and sits on the Connecticut HIV Planning Consortium as a member. Prior to GBAPP, Marcelin has always been active in the Bridgeport community. Marcelin served on the Bridgeport Food Policy Council as the Bridgeport Food Policy Council Coordinator and interned for the Bridgeport Department of Homeland Security. Marcelin is very passionate about public health and one-day aspires to be a Public Health Director.
