Sindhu is a Program Manager at the National Association of City Transportation Officials (NACTO), a coalition of 86 major North American cities and transit agencies formed to exchange transportation ideas, insights, and practices and cooperatively approach national transportation issues. She manages NACTO’s federal policy program, coordinating with city experts, elected officials, and partner organizations to advance the network’s top legislative and regulatory priorities.
Prior to joining NACTO, Sindhu received her MS in Environmental Policy and Planning at the University of Michigan where she was part of the Environmental Fellows Program (EFP)’s 2017 cohort. Through this fellowship, she worked as a Graduate Fellow with MassINC, a Boston-based think tank, conducting policy research on transit-oriented development in Massachusetts. Before EFP and the University of Michigan, Sindhu worked as a communications consultant and received a BA in Politics and Cultural Studies from New York University.
