Brandon is a fifth-year doctoral candidate at Yale University’s School of the Environment. His research investigates solutions to mitigate the impacts of environmental exposures, such as air pollution and agricultural farming, and improve community health and sustainability. Currently, he is leading a field measurement campaign to understand major factors contributing to household indoor air pollution in Accra, Ghana. Additionally, his research investigates the impact that industrial animal farming has on the health and sustainability of rural communities in North Carolina. Brandon received his Bachelor of Science in Meteorology and Master of Science in Atmospheric Science at North Carolina State University. He has worked with other companies such as the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and NC State Climate office, as well as local advocacy groups such as the NC Environmental Justice Network, to incorporate community voices into his research.
