Ashley Bell graduated with her doctorate in Environmental Health Sciences from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. Her research focused on particulate matter 2.5 (PM2.5) and its association with the development of type 2 diabetes mellitus. She was brought on as a Postdoctoral Associate under the mentorship of Dr. Dorceta Taylor at the Yale School of the Environment and is now an Associate Research Scientist. In this position, she is involved with research and other activities associated with the Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Sustainability Initiative.
