Dr. Carolina Prado works at the intersection of community-based research, environmental justice, and border studies. As a first-generation queer Chicana, she believes that her struggles for social and environmental justice should create an impact on both sides of the border. Her current work is focused on a book project focusing on the culture of cross-border environmental justice organizing with her long-term community partners the Colectivo Salud y Justicia Ambiental (or Collective for Environmental Health and Justice). She is also passionate about food justice and anti-domestic violence work.
