Dr. Ember McCoy is a researcher, educator, and organizer based in central Pennsylvania. Her work sits at the intersection of environmental activism, data, and governance, focusing on resistance to technologies designed to mitigate environmental harm and their consequences for people’s lives and livelihoods. She is currently a postdoctoral scholar in the Social Science Research Institute and Pennsylvania State University.
