Haille Rae is a researcher with a background in entertainment-education, behavioral science, and health promotion. She studies television representation, focusing on Black women characters, stories, health, and their impacts. Through this work, she aims to increase quality representation of underrepresented groups and inspire empathy, social change, and promote health through television, other media, and community engagement. She also has engaged in projects related to social determinants of health and community-based research. Haille received her PhD in health promotion & behavior from the University of Georgia, master’s degree in public health from Emory University, and bachelor’s degree in environmental science from Spelman College.
