Erin Alyssa Noël is a 1st generation Haitian-American Master of Environmental Management Candidate interested in policy, law, and environmental justice from Medford, Mass. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and Sustainability from the University of Massachusetts – Boston, where she served as the Environmental Advocacy Chair for the UMB NACCP and held various roles in the UMB Student Government. Her research areas have been climate shocks and conflict, food access and farmer’s markets, landowners’ political views in the Northwoods forest region, and diversity in the environment sciences. Erin previously worked at the City of Somerville’s Mayor’s Office of Sustainability and Environment and interned for Massachusetts Senators Warren and Markey. She’s also a Doris Duke Conservation Scholar, Stanford SURGE Scholar, Udall Scholar, and Michael Dukakis Public Service Awardee. Outside her professional life, Erin is passionate about Boston sports, fantasy football, fashion, makeup, reading, sunbathing, and Pilates.
