Lily Fillwalk recently graduated from Pitzer College in Claremont, CA, with a dual degree in Environmental Science and Studio Art. Lily is pursuing a Master of Environmental Science and studies soil organic carbon in New York City community-centered green roofs. Lily’s past professional experience is focused on sustainable agriculture, with organizations such as the USDA, the Robert Redford Conservancy for Southern California Sustainability, and the World Food Prize Foundation. In 2020, Lily was selected for a Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program with Brooklyn College, funded by the National Science Foundation, focused on urban ecology. Lily plans to pursue a science-based community agriculture career in New York City.
