Marco Alvarez Heashot

Marco Alvarez is a Master’s of Environmental Management student specializing in water resources at the Yale School of the Environment. He is a part of the JEDSI lab under Dr. Dorceta Taylor, where he studies food justice and food access in Boston. Prior to his graduate studies, he graduated from Florida International University, where he earned his B.S in Environmental Studies with a minor in Economics. During his undergraduate studies, he interned at the Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies, where he focused on nitrogen fixation rates in speckled alder. He also worked in Dr. Bradford’s soils lab on work related carbon nutrient cycling in Eastern forests.
