Pam Kohlberg is a Boston based philanthropist and investment professional with training in forestry and environmental management. Early in her career, she worked in forestry, land conservation and environmental consulting, with the U.S. Forest Service, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the Town of Hingham, and B.S.C. Engineering. She is a founding partner and managing director of Ilex Management, an emerging markets fund of funds focusing on small to mid-size managers in Southeast Asia and China. Her board service has included the Yale School of the Environment Steering Committee and as co-chair of the Leadership Council, chair of the Nature Conservancy Massachusetts Chapter, chair of the Vineyard Gazette, board member of the Polly Hill Arboretum, and director of the Gnu Foundation, a microcredit program for loans of working capital, in Haiti, Kenya,Cuba andMexico. Along with her family, she co-founded the Vision Fund of the Kohlberg Foundation, which aids local non-profits and individuals in environmental and social sustainability projects. She was also a co-founder of the Radical Imagination Family Foundation (R.I.F.F.) supporting grassroots leaders working on racial, environmental, social and gender justice. Ms. Kohlberg earned a B.A. from Yale College in 1975 and a Master of ForestScience (MFS) from the Yale School of the Environment in 1977.
