Sophia is a nonprofit and philanthropic consultant. Through her firm Sunrise Strategic Advisors LLC, she supports leaders and organizers who seek to deepen and grow resources for advocacy and organizing. Sophia has worked at and provided support—planning, training, coaching, research, capacity, and board service—to a range of nonprofits whose priorities include immigration, economic justice, gender equity, health equity, civil rights, community organizing, environmental justice, and racial justice. Sophia has helped build fundraising infrastructure and led successful strategies for visionary activists and organizations at the grassroots and national levels.
In her free time, she is working to decolonize and transform the land in her care by repopulating native plant species and supporting wildlife and human health. Sophia holds a BA from Sarah Lawrence College and is based on the east coast.
